At Gypsy Siberians, our breeding adults are part of our family. We believe every one of our cats deserves a peaceful, loving home where they can be the center of someone’s world, during their breeding years and long after retirement.
Our Guardianship Program allows a select family to welcome one of our exceptional Siberian kittens or queens into their home at no cost, while partnering with us to preserve this beautiful breed.
What Is a Guardian Home?
A guardian home provides a permanent, loving environment for one of our breeding cats while we retain breeding rights for a designated period.
You receive:
- A beautiful Siberian kitten or adult
- Raised and loved as your own family companion
- No purchase price (refundable deposit only)
- Up to $300 per litter as a thank you
- Full support from Gypsy Siberians
We receive:
- A safe, consistent environment for our breeding cats
- A trusted partnership during heat cycles and breedings
- A forever home for our cats post retirement
Who Makes a Great Guardian Home?
We are looking for families who:
- Live within 1 -2 hours of Treasure Coast
- Have reliable transportation
- Provide a stable, loving, indoor only home
- Do NOT have any other cats in the home
- Are comfortable communicating regularly
- Will follow our nutrition, health, and vaccination protocols
- Will not declaw
- Will return the cat to us for scheduled breedings
- Give monthly flea preventative year round
- Communicate heat cycles clearly and promptly
Our guardian homes are long term partners and part of our extended Gypsy Siberians family.
What Gypsy Siberians Covers
As the breeder, we pay for:
- All breeding related veterinary care
- Provide parasite fecal PCR testing
- Genetic and health testing
- All expenses associated with mating and pregnancy
- Spay/neuter upon retirement
- Full support and guidance
- Transfer of full ownership/Pedigree at the end of the contract
- Up to $300 per litter paid to guardian family
What the Guardian Family Covers
Guardian families agree to:
- Provide daily love, attention, and enrichment
- Feed high quality food (brands we approve)
- Provide routine veterinary care outside of breeding needs
- Keep cat indoor only
- Use monthly flea prevention consistently
- Follow all care, nutrition, and health guidelines
- Keep the cat safe from other cats (no other cats allowed in the home)
- Never board the cat at a boarding facility
- Transport the cat to and from our home (or meet up) for scheduled breedings
- Communicate heat cycles promptly to keep breeding timelines safe and predictable
- There is no purchase price, only a small refundable deposit to join the program.
Female Guardianship
Guardian queens visit us for:
- Breeding
- Pregnancy checks
- Delivery (2 weeks before due date) and kitten raising until fully weaned
- A queen typically produces 2-6 litters before spay and full transfer of ownership.
