For almost 95% of people with severe allergies to cats, the Siberian breed has the lowest levels of FEL-D1. This protein is produced by cats through their saliva, which they then spread through their fur when they clean themselves. This is what causes allergies for people who are allergic to cats. We are able to send you a fur sample with instructions to see how you may react to the fur. However, we suggest doing the kitten testing with our lab if you suffer with extreme allergic reactions towards cats to ensure your kitten produces the lowest levels possible.
